Unique among all registered Dionaea muscipula cultivars, this selection is incapable of producing functional traps. Instead, the plant develops broadly winged leaf bases reaching up to 3.5 cm in length, frequently terminating in small pointed structures approximately 1–2 mm long that represent vestigial traps. The leaf bases curve downward along the midrib, creating an arched appearance, while the lateral margins often undulate and turn upwards, further enhancing the rose-like form.
