Please stay informed of any local events that may affect delivery times. We will do our best to schedule your shipment accordingly. For pick-up services, please make an appointment.

8. Hot Weather

To ensure the health and safety of our live plants during transit, we will temporarily suspend shipments when the forecasted temperature exceeds 35°C. Orders will be dispatched once conditions are cooler to maintain optimal plant health. This precaution aligns with industry best practices, as extreme heat can adversely affect live shipments. .

9. Shipping to NT

If you intend to bring plants into the Northern Territory, please be aware of the following biosecurity regulations:

  • Permit Requirement: Importing plants into the NT may require a biosecurity permit to prevent the introduction of pests and diseases.
  • Low-Risk Status: Tissue culture plants are generally considered low-risk; however, specific species may still require permits or inspections.
  • Customer Responsibility: It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with all NT biosecurity laws and obtain any necessary permits before importing plants.

For more information and to apply for the required permits, please visit the Northern Territory Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (ADFF) website or contact their biosecurity team directly. Website: https://agriculture.nt.gov.au/

The Guppy Garden does not assume any liability for delays, rejections, or any issues arising from the importation of plants into the NT. All risks associated with compliance and importation are the customer's responsibility.
