Dionaea muscipula ‘Matcha Latte’ is a distinctive cultivar developed through an in vitro mutation by Diflora, originating from the ‘Green Wizard’ lineage. It retains the prostrate growth habit and vivid green pigmentation characteristic of its parent, yet diverges significantly in morphology, producing notably larger, longer, and more elongated structures.

This cultivar displays a high degree of variegation, with irregular white patterning distributed across both foliage and traps. These markings vary considerably in size and form, ranging from fine streaks to extensive sections that may cover up to half, or occasionally the entirety, of the leaf surface. In some instances, the variegation presents as pale green rather than pure white, contributing to further visual variation.

In addition to its variegation, ‘Matcha Latte’ exhibits pronounced morphological irregularities. The foliage often develops a wavy, uneven surface with sinuous margins and subtle textural elevations. The traps themselves are similarly affected, displaying irregular, jagged outlines that can appear almost truncated. These combined characteristics contribute to a highly unusual and visually striking phenotype, making this cultivar particularly desirable for collectors seeking uncommon and distinctive specimens.
